The vision for Llandow Newydd is to transform the former Second World War airfield at Llandow into a vibrant, mixed-use community of homes, businesses and schools which will contribute to meeting the needs of the Vale of Glamorgan.

Proposals to redevelop the former airfield have been submitted by two of the UK's leading housebuilders, Persimmon Homes and Barratt South Wales, to the Vale of Glamorgan Council as part of the authority's Local Development Plan process. Llandow Newydd has been listed by the Vale of Glamorgan council as a Candidate Site for inclusion in the Local Development Plan (LDP), which will determine the strategy for delivering the growing housing, employment and community facilities needs of the Vale for the coming two decades.
